Nature’s Way Preschool offers a 36-week curriculum combining traditional readiness learning and preschool age-appropriate activities, with an emphasis on environmental education. Each day student are engaged in nature study, guided play time, readiness activities to develop fine and gross motor skills, dramatic play, rhythm and movement, songs and finger plays, language arts, story time, outdoor exploration and nature walks. Classes begin after Labor Day and end before Memorial Day. Nature's Way is closed holidays and weekends, and follows the public school calendars related to major breaks such as Winter and Spring breaks.
Nature's Way opened in September of 1982 and has provided environmental education to three- and four-year-olds for 25 years! Children enrolled in Nature's Way are given daily opportunities to have fun and explore while learning about themselves, others and the natural world around them. We are located on nine acres consisting of a stream, woods, fields and trails. Our "log cabin" school is a modern building with many windows for wildlife viewing and includes indoor learning and play areas. Our staff, program and facility are licensed by the Michigan Bureau of Regulatory Services.
