Explorers Camp Sessions
Session 1: June 17-21 |  Survival Makes Sense

It takes all your senses to survive in the wild! Practice outdoor skills like using binoculars, building forts and identifying plants and animals. When the week is done, you’ll get a “sense” of what it takes to be in the woods.

Session 1: June 17-21 | Farm Explorers

Do you know what it takes to be a farmer? Come explore the fields at DeLano Farms! Work with our Farm Educator to experience life on the farm. Help care for our farm animals, plant, rake and dig in a garden and check out farm tools, like tractors. Experience the pioneer way of life in the DeLano Homestead and help the farmer in the fields. Each session will highlight the changes the farm goes through during the growing season. Save time for games, stories, crafts and more with your friends. It will be a busy week and also tons of fun!

Session 2: June 24-28 | Friends Of Animals

We love salamanders, snakes, birds, and frogs--and hope that you do too! See what it takes to care for KNC’s animals--it’s no easy task. Afterwards, learn more about what you can do for some of your furry friends that could live right in your backyard!

Session 3: July 8-12 |  Flying Colors

Discover the many colors of the outdoors. Paint, color and create artwork that show what you see in forest, prairie or streams. Come be an artist and watch the colors fly across your page!

Session 5: July 22-26 | Dinos A to Z

Albertaceratops to Zapalsaurus, it’s all about the dinosaurs this week. Track prehistoric animals throughout the history our ancient earth. You could find some evidence of these creatures by visiting our gravel pits, and meet a dino relative and see how they compare.
