Fall in the Prairie by Jim Triezenberg

Annual Fund

There is no higher compliment than the support of our community. For nearly 60 years, southwest Michigan has sustained the Kalamazoo Nature Center’s work by giving generously of time, talent, and treasure. The year now passing and the year ahead will be no different.

With the brilliant hues of autumn now surrounding us, we recall with gratitude all that our community has invested in KNC over six decades. As the year draws to its conclusion, and a new year awaits its dawn, please generously consider our annual fund goal of $110,000.

With each sunrise, we are reminded of our great responsibility. You continue to entrust KNC with stewardship of over 1,200 local acres. This acreage encompasses varied habitats, some of them rare, along with their inhabitants. This responsibility is also an inspiration, an expansive classroom, a living laboratory, and a significant piece of our local cultural and natural heritage.

Your financial support makes KNC all of these things. As importantly, your investment helps KNC increase accessibility to all. Thanks to your generosity, we engaged over 100,000 visitors and program participants this year. These interactions involved people of all ages, from a broad spectrum of socio-economic circumstances, and from a variety of religious and cultural experiences.

You will find stories of these interactions in our forthcoming, 2018/19 Annual Report. We hope you will take time to look through the report, which will be released next month in both electronic and print formats. Please enjoy, as we have, looking back on all that you have made possible. Thank you for considering a gift to sustain KNC’s impact into our 60th anniversary year.
