The Kalamazoo Nature Center is proud to take part in #GivingTuesday, a global day of giving when millions of people come together to support and champion the causes they believe in and the communities where they live. Every act of generosity counts, and means even more when we give together.

Screech OwlBelow are some examples of how your gift can support KNC:

A $50 donation could:

♦  Feed KNC's fish, reptiles, and amphibians for one month
♦  Purchase craft supplies for KNC Campers
♦  Four pairs of leather work gloves for stewardship staff and volunteers.
♦  10 pairs of safety glasses for stewardship staff and volunteers.
♦  Medical supplies for KNC animals

A $100 donation could:

♦  Provide rabbit care for one month
♦  Four scholarships for training local citizen science volunteers in field identification
♦  Gardening tools for volunteers
♦  Birds of Prey handling gloves 

A $250 donation could:

♦  Purchase building materials for one outdoor animal enclosure
♦  Send a kid to KNC Camp
♦  A full winter's supply of handwarmers for the entire stewardship staff
♦  Four trail cameras to monitor wildlife on KNC property
♦  Two pairs of close-focus butterfly binoculars for monitoring 

A $500 donation could:

♦  Provide seeds and plants for DeLano Farms Learning Garden
♦  Feed Birds of Prey for one month
♦  Staff access to cutting-edge scientific research subscriptions: the American Ornithological Society's publications, JSTOR digital library, and Ecological Restoration Journal. 

A $1000 donation could:

♦  Send an area classroom to Annie's Big Nature Lesson for one month
♦  Feed wild birds, turkey, and deer at Nature's Way Preschool for one year
♦  Purchase a heating and cooling system for KNC's Welcome Station

A $1500 donation could:

♦  Work toward trail accessibility improvements
♦  Send low income high school students on a Heronwood Field Station international wildlife research trip
♦  Purchase curriculum materials for outdoor science lessons
♦  Provide a season's animal care for the DeLano Farms farmyard animals
