From summer camp to preschool, public programs, research, and conservation, our goal is to inspire everyone to experience nature everyday. You can help.

KNC is a private, non-profit organization (501(c)(3)) formed in 1960. We are supported by membership and admission fees, monetary and in-kind donations, program and service fees, foundation grants, and endowment earnings.

Adopt an Animal

Adopting an animal is an exciting way to support KNC's animal care and learn more about these amazing animals. Your adoption helps to provide care for an animal at KNC, gives an unreleasable animal a permanent home (they will live and be cared for here at KNC), and supports educational programming.  You can even have a Meet & Greet with your animal!

Commemorative Bricks & Benches

A brick along the Commemorative Pathway in KNC's Hummingbird-Butterfly Garden is a wonderful way to honor a person or organization, commemorate a special event, or create a lasting memorial to a loved one. Each personalized, engraved brick demonstrates support of the KNC mission of connecting people and nature, now and for future generations. For more information on purchasing a brick or bench plate, please call (269) 381-1574 ext. 35.

Adopt a Hummingbird

Adopting a Hummingbird is a unique and rewarding way to suppport the Kalamazoo Valley Bird Observatory, KNC's bird banding program.  When you adopt a hummingbird, you will receive a certificate with your name and a profile for an individual hummingbird banded through KVBO, a guarantee that you will be notified if your hummingbird is ever recaptured, and the satisfaction of knowing that your adoption is helping KVBO with important research.
