The exhibits are designed to showcase the plants and animals that you may find at KNC. They are interactive allowing visitors to experience the sights, scents and sounds associated with various habitats. The exhibits hall is designed for young children to see things at their level as they walk through with their adults. a prelude to enhance your experience when you go outside to explore.

Tropical Sun/Rain Room

Welcome to the tropics! At the center of the Vistor Center is a three story atrium featuing a varienty of tropical plants some of which are over 40 years old. Live fish, turtles and birds within  the Sun/Rain Room help provide a welcome retreat from Michigan winters and give us a glimpse of what our area might have looked like millions of years ago when covered by plants like these.


Glen Vista Gallery

Glen Vista Galley

Located within the Visitor Center the Glen Vista Gallery features a bi-monthly rotating exhibition of nature-themed art by top local artists. The Gallery also offers a wildlife viewing station for relaxation and observation. A sweeping view of the Beech Maple forest is a highlight of the room. The Glen Vista Gallery is a popular rental space for meetings and celebrations.

The Arboretum is home to the Hummingbird Butterfly Garden, Sculpture Tour with accessible path, Nature's Playground, and an abundance of trees to enjoy through all seasons. Visitors enjoy snow-shoeing and cross-country skiing in the Arboretum during the winter months.
