Certified Pesticide Applicators – Continuing Education Workshop

Audience: This workshop is intended for private and commercial licensed pesticide applicators in need of continuing education credits (MDARD Pesticide CEU)
Meet: Cooper’s Glen Auditorium and MS Teams Virtual option (morning only)
Join KNC’s professional licensed pesticide applicators to review topics related to the MDARD Commercial Core and Category 6 Right of Way.
Morning session (in-person or virtual): Topics will include a review of pesticide types, best treatments for invasive species, signs of pests and diseases in plants/ecosystem, and monitoring and evaluation of invasive species treatments. (No recording will be made available for the virtual option.)
Afternoon session (in-person only): Topics include demonstrations and hands-on practice of best management practices for chemical safety and handling, spill kits, herbicide backpack sprayers and dauber applicators, ATV boom spraying, and a guided invasive species identification hike.
This workshop is intended for private and commercial licensed pesticide applicators in need of continuing education credits (MDARD Pesticide CEU). Pesticide continuing education credits can be earned in the following MDARD categories: 2, 3A, 5, 6, or Comm CORE. The main focus of content will be aimed towards invasive species treatments in natural areas (Category 6 Right of Way). The full day in-person only is worth 8 credits. The half day virtual or in-person is worth 4 credits. Participants must stay for the full sessions to receive full credits from MDARD.
Fee:
$50 half day 8:00am-12:30pm (in-person or virtual)
$80 full day 8:00am-5:00pm (in-person only)
$15 add on for boxed lunch (maybe run this separately but have an option in registration to request they may want a boxed lunch?)
