This talk explores how Lake Michigan and its sand dunes were formed, the habitats they support, and why protecting this unique “Third Coast” is so important. Mike will also share stories of adventures along the shoreline and connect these ideas to the work of the Kalamazoo Nature Center and our role as environmental stewards.
Goal: To help people better understand, appreciate, protect, and enjoy the Lake Michigan shoreline and its waters.
