If you are a curious, nature-loving middle school student we invite you to witness the wild world around you make its annual autumnal transition!

Find the answers to questions like “Why do the leaves change colors?” and “Why do they call fall the harvest season?” Meet some of our animal ambassadors that typically fly South this time of year. During this 6-week naturalist series we will learn about the many important changes that happen in the fall. Be prepared to explore, observe, and dive deep into our vibrant local ecosystems through weekly lessons at the Kalamazoo Nature Center. No previous naturalist experience required!

Students should wear comfortable clothes, good hiking shoes, and bring their own water bottle. Snacks will be provided. This program will be held mostly outdoors at the Kalamazoo Nature Center. Masks will be required for indoor activities only. Requirement will be re-evaluated as risk level changes.
