KNC Trails open 9 am - 7:30 pm

Admission will be on a first-come, first-served basis as we operate at limited capacity for the safety of all. Please enjoy KNC trails safely, practicing social distancing, during our shared experience of the COVID-19 pandemic.  We look forward to seeing you soon!

Admission Rates: KNC Members free; Non-members: Adult $5, Senior $4, Children 4-17 $3, 3 and under free

Please note: KNC’s Visitor Center, DeLano Farms Trails and facilities, Nature’s Playground, Arboretum Picnic Area, and all drinking fountains remain closed. On-site portable restrooms are not maintained by KNC and discretion is advised.

Our award-winning exhibits show you a new perspective on the world around you. Of course, the most special feature of all are the 14+ miles of hiking trails that wind through some of the most special habitats in Michigan. Please note:  The Kalamazoo Nature Center is a private nature preserve.  Dogs, camping, drones, and firearms are not permitted. Bicycles and motorized vehicles are not permitted on the trails.

The Kalamazoo Nature Center is home to miles of trails winding through woods, wetlands, and prairies ranging from easy to difficult. Some trails are wheelchair and stroller friendly.

KNC is home to miles of hiking trails, an award-winning Visitor Center, and a wide variety of programs. We also have a number of other locations for hiking, programs, and rentals, from DeLano Farms to the new Urban Nature Park in downtown Kalamazoo!

ANCA Membership

Reciprocal Program

 The ANCA Reciprocal Network is a group of over 180 nature centers that offer free or discounted admission. ANCA nature center members receive free admission to KNC. Note: ANCA reciprocal membership is not valid on special events (Maple Sugar Festival, etc) or for the May Cultural Membership Exchange.
