Earth Day Celebration

Registration begins at 7:30 am Saturday for the Earth Day 5K & Kids' Raccoon Run to kick off your day! 

Kids' Raccoon Run at 9 am

The Raccoon Run for ages 8 & under is a stroller-friendly 1K romp around the Habitat Haven Trail.  Register online by April 10 and the $15 registration fee includes a short sleeve T-shirt with logo.  

Earth Day 5K at 10 am

This fun and challenging run/walk features some of KNC's most beautiful trails, including steep hills, forest views, and a variety of terrain.  See the run map here.  Register online by April 10 and the $30 registration fee includes a long sleeve T-shirt with logo.  

Cancellation policy: There are no refunds for the Earth Day 5K or Kids' Raccoon Run registrations. Proceeds benefit KNC's early childhood education programs.

12:30 pm: Kalamazoo Book Arts Center: Paper Making Presentation
      Join Jeff Abshear, Executive Director at the Kalamazoo Book Arts Center, as he demonstrates how paper is made and how plants and natural fibers can enhance the beauty of a sheet of handmade paper.
1:30 pm: Guided Walk: Arboretum Sculpture Tour
3:00 pm: Live Animal Program Featuring Birds of Prey
