Visit the KNC Banding Barn in late summer and fall to see bird banding up close. Drop-in programs are held beginning in late August, and are included in regular KNC admission. The Banding Barn is located near KNC Camp; if the banders are not there, they are out checking the nets and will return shortly. Banding is weather dependent and capture at a program is not guaranteed.

All banding, marking, and sampling is being conducted under a federally authorized Bird Banding Permit issued by the U.S. Geological Survey’s Bird Banding Lab.
