Lake Michigan shoreline

Continual Motion, Observation, and Appreciation of Lake Michigan Shoreline Environments:
Take a walk with Sea Michigan’s Mike Ricco

Lake/dune formation and habitats, and environmental protection considerations of this unique “Third Coast”, and adventures on the shoreline.  Connections can be made also to the Kalamazoo Nature Center, and our stewardship perspectives.
Goal: to better understand, protect, and enjoy our wonderful Lake Michigan shoreline and waters.

Introduction to Recycling with Schupan Sustainability
February 12, 11 am – 1 pm 

What really happens to your recycling after you put something in your curbside recycling bin? Does it just end up in the landfill anyway? Is recycling really real? Join an expert from Schupan’s sustainability team to explore the foundations of how the recycling system works in Michigan and the United States.
